Welcome to Winters Weblog!

This is an online journal and showcase for my third grade students at Barrington Christian Academy. I hope to use this technology to help my students develop even better literacy skills. They will be "authentically communicating" in a purposeful way. This is new to all of us in the third grade, so please bear with us as we experiment with writing, making observations of learning (teacher-student and peer-peer), post discussion arenas, share links, and showcase our classroom.

Stanford Achievement Tests (SATs)

Well, cherubs. I hope you rested well over your vacation because Monday starts our standardized testing. Please get plenty of sleep on Sunday night and have a hearty breakfast on Monday morning. Bring a healthy snack for recess. Post a comment here about the whole "testing thing." What do you like and dislike about it? Why do you think you are taking these tests?
